What steps do I need to take when I have mold damage?

Call a remediation contractor that is IICRC certified! Remember when going through insurance, you are allowed to choose your own contractor, you do not have to use the ones insurance recommends. We also recommend closing off the HVAC duct and the door to the room with the mold damage to avoid spreading mold spores throughout your home.

How quickly can you repair the mold damage?

Mold takes approximately 5 days from start of remediation to end until air clearances pass.

Do I need to move out of my home during the remediation process?

In most cases you do not need to, but again, this depends on how extensive the damage is. If the mold damaged all of your bathrooms and/or kitchen, then temporarily moving out is recommended.

Who certifies your work’s quality?

We hire a third party to inspect and test the affected area after Trademark completes the remediation process so you can be confident that it is safe to reenter/reuse that area of your property.

Do I need to take time off of work during the repairs?

This is up to personal preference! Our entire staff is background checked before being hired. We offer lock boxes so you do not have to take time off of work. But if you are more comfortable being home, we can work with your schedule! We also call the day before every appointment as a courtesy to remind you about your appointments!
